We are building a nationwide database of qualified ASL instructors and presenters. By applying, you will join our talent pool—as positions become available, we will contact you to confirm your interest and invite you to interview for specific roles. About Sign Language Hub

Sign Language Hub partners with private and public schools, organizations, and families across the U.S. to provide high-quality ASL instruction, mentoring, and workshops. Our mission is to empower communities and foster inclusive communication.

Opportunities
​​​
We strongly welcome native ASL signers—including Deaf, Hard of Hearing, CODA professionals, and experienced interpreters who love working with children in school settings—to apply.

We are actively seeking independent contractors for the following roles:
​​

ASL Instructors for Infants, PreK–12th Grade (Emphasis on Early Childhood):
Teach engaging ASL classes primarily for infants and younger children, as well as elementary, middle, and high school students—during the school day or in after-school programs.

ASL Instructors for Staff Training:
Provide staff training and professional development in ASL and Deaf culture for schools and educational organizations.

ASL Tutors/Mentors for Families:
Offer one-on-one or small group mentoring for families of Deaf or Hard of Hearing children as part of our ASL Family Mentoring Program.

ASL Tutors (Online or In-Person):
Provide ASL tutoring for children, teens, or adults—online or in person (depending on location).

Workshop Presenters (Various Topics):
Present engaging workshops on a wide range of topics, including Introduction to ASL and Deaf Culture, ASL training for various vendors (including corporate clients), and Emergency Preparation in ASL. We offer many additional workshop topics and are always developing new content—please let us know if you have a specialty or a new idea to propose!

Bilingual ASL Instructors:
We welcome ASL instructors who are fluent in Spanish to support our bilingual families and organizations.

What We’re Looking For
​

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
-
Experience teaching or tutoring ASL, especially with infants and PreK–12th grade (experience with young children is highly valued)

Ability to design and deliver interactive workshops (if applying as a presenter)

Passion for Deaf culture, education, and advocacy
-
Comfortable working as an independent contractor (not an employee)

Reliable internet and computer access for virtual roles
-
Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required for all positions
