Frequently Asked Questions

How It Works:

1) Where do I take a class?

All classes are conducted on the Zoom platform. Workshops and contracts can be held on Zoom or on-site.

2) What happens after I enroll in a class?

After enrolling in a class, you will receive the class schedule, the Zoom link, and E-notes.

3) What are E-Notes?

E-Notes refer to electronic notes that encompass the slides used during class, containing ASL vocabulary and the entire lesson content.

4) How to Make Up Missed Classes?

To schedule a makeup class, please contact us via phone or email, and we will arrange a suitable session for you. Please note that due to the high number of students, we can no longer accommodate missed classes. If you miss a class, you are entitled to one makeup class per semester. To sign up for the makeup class, kindly contact SLH at least 24 hours before the desired session.

5) Is there a class for credit?

No, we do not offer credits at this time. Our classes are non-academic and designed for a fun learning environment. However, we provide excellent tools for students to get ahead with sign language learning.

6) I have taken Sign Language classes before - how do I determine my level?

We can arrange a free assessment online. Contact us.

You will start learning ASL once you join our first class, but becoming fluent takes time. It depends on your motivation, determination, and willingness to immerse yourself in the language and culture.
