Service Description

Join our 8-week ASL class for 1st–3rd graders! Students will learn beginner vocabulary, fingerspelling, and everyday conversational signs through engaging, hands-on activities, interactive games, songs, and partner practice. Throughout the session, students will build confidence expressing themselves in a new language while strengthening visual attention and communication skills. Lessons are designed to be fun, active, and developmentally appropriate for early elementary learners, helping children stay engaged and excited to participate each week. In addition to learning American Sign Language, students will be introduced to basic concepts of Deaf culture and the importance of inclusion. We gently incorporate age-appropriate conversations about kindness, empathy, and understanding differences. Students learn that communication can look different for everyone — and that respecting those differences helps build stronger, more connected communities.
